But Hillary herself, with her thin, spotty record, tangled psychological baggage, and maundering blowhard of a husband, is also a mighty big roll of the dice. She is a brittle, relentless manipulator with few stable core values who shuffles through useful personalities like a card shark (“Cue the tears!”). Forget all her little gold crosses: Hillary’s real god is political expediency. Do Americans truly want this hard-bitten Machiavellian back in the White House? Day one will just be more of the same.

If anything happens to Paglia in the next few days and weeks, somebody check Hillary’s alibi, as well as that of her Vast Tampon-with-Wings Conspiracy.

Because, as we say in Alabama, “Them’s some fightin’ words!”

More reasons to keep Hillary out of the White House

Not that I needed any more reasons. But this story — shockingly reported by the New York Times — makes it clear that Hillary can’t be trusted with absolute power any more than her husband. Graft and corruption are as natural as breathing for these two.

Hillary’s God of Empowerment

Hillary’s pandering to people of faith is insufferable. I lived an hour or so from the Selma church where she donned her Southern accent (Nicholas Cage’s accent in ConAir is bad, but she made him sound like William damn Faulkner) for a black gospel crowd. Few political/campaign maneuvers have ever make me so nauseous.

This weekend, she kept up appearances at a Methodist church in Iowa.

(Hillary!) participated in the unison prayer: “God of empowerment, help us to give all of our children the anchor of faith, the rudder of hope, the sails of health care and education, the paddles of family and community to keep them afloat when lifes sea gets rough. Amen.”

I’ve been a “United Methodist” all my life. Most of our unison prayers — though we called them Responsive Readings — were old school: John Wesley, Augustine, etc.

With the boat metaphor strapped to a taffy-puller, the highly un-Biblical reference to health care,  that thing sounds like it was written to brown-nose the hot counselor at church camp.
